Week seven was an awesome week. As a group we were incredibly productive. Class was cancelled on Tuesday due to a power outage on campus. The group still met during regular class time. On Thursday, class was cancelled because Professor McClurken had a family emergency. Once again, the class met anyhow. We worked on labeling the cemetery rows on the map with the soldiers’ names when available and the number of unknown soldiers that are also in the rows.
The register is completely scanned. The group project’s website is established but is bare bones as of right now. This week I will be working on old-fashioned public relations. My goal is to reach out to the Fredericksburg Area Visitor Center, the Fredericksburg Area Museum, the James Monroe Museum and Library, and other area historical spots. I also plan on creating a Facebook post that will direct my “friends” to my personal website and the project website. I also think it may be prudent to create a Facebook page for this project. I will mention this to my group when we return to school after spring break.
